Heart of Haiti Recycled Metal Arches Bowl is a beautiful centerpiece with a with an amazing unique handcrafted design. Each year after Thanksgiving my husband and I prepare a fruit and nut bowl for our holiday table centerpiece. We normally use a solid old brown wooden basket and add a red bow. This  year we plan to incorporate the Metal Arches Bowl as our centerpiece to place the fruit and nuts in.  I love that the bowl will be easy to clean when the holiday season is over and anytime we plan to use it.

This season, make a conscious decision to spend your dollars on gifts that give hope to someone that may not be as fortunate. Shortly after the earthquake in Haiti, Macy’s began carrying this product line featuring an array of beautiful handmade goods crafted by artisans in Haiti. Let keep the product support going by buying one these beautiful gifts this holiday season.

The country of Haiti is rich in the arts and dreams of hope despite being the poorest country in the Western hemisphere. I encourage you all to purchase from the Haiti and Rwanda gifts collection by visiting macys.com or by visiting one of the following locations:

Herald Square, Downtown Brooklyn, Downtown DC’s Metro Center, Chicago’s State Street, San Francisco’s Union Park, Downtown Seattle, Dallas Gallaria, Downtown Portland (Ore), Atlanta’s Lenox Square, Dallas Galleria Mall, Miami Dadeland.

This a great way to give back without wondering where your money went.

Haiti has an estimated 400,000 artisans (out of a 10M population) who rely solely on their handcrafted goods as a source of income. No other sector of employment even approaches such numbers. Macy’s Heart of Haiti employs 550 artisans, providing economic support to their 4500 extended family members and others.

Here is a video, which features the process of making metal crafts for Macy’s Heart of Haiti.
