Recently we stayed overnight at the beautiful Marriott East Indianapolis. The hotel is over 75,000 square feet and located off the highway just minutes from downtown. Parking is complimentary for all guest and located around the building near different hotel entrances.
As we entered the hotel there is a beautiful fireplace that divides the lobby from the Skylight Bistro & Wine Bar and Skylight Java Cafe. This is one of my favorite locations in the hotel.
The Skylight Bistro and Wine Bar has a great selection of food, wine, and local beers to choose from. There is a huge wine cellar enclosed by a glass wall that can be viewed by guest.
The Skylight Java Cafe serves a delicious buffet in the morning with plenty of food to choose from. OMGosh we are always excited about the breakfast buffet.
The staff was very nice upon check in. The lobby was very busy, but I noticed the front desk was well staffed and the guest wait time was less than five minutes. To the left of the check in desk is a small grab and go store stocked with items for guest to purchase. Just around the corner from there is the business center which has four computers and a printer for guest use.
Located across from the business center is the lounge area. There is a glass wall and door which is where the closed in pool and hot tub area is located. The pool and lounge area was very well kept despite the amount guest enjoying themselves. The pool area had clean towels and pool chairs available for the guest.
We took a quick tour of the conference area and the beautiful patio space.
If your ever looking to host an event large or small at the Marriott East Indianapolis no worries about space there is over 20 meeting rooms, 315 guest rooms, and over 40 suites. Sounds to me like there is more than enough space.
On the way to our room we also passed the gym area so if you need to complete your daily workout there is a gym located conveniently inside the hotel.
The Dwight Eisenhower Presidential Suite was tucked alway in a very quiet area of the hotel. One of the largest Presidential Suites we have ever stayed in. There was a king size bed in the back of the suite. A living room area located in between the meeting and bathroom area.
This is our fourth stay at this location and overall we have never had a bad experience. My only suggestion would be carpet upgrades to something more modern, but the carpet is of great quality.
I rate our overall experience at the Marriot East Indianapolis with the white glove Queenthrity award.
I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Indianapolis area. The GM at this location is awesome and will go out of his way to make sure you have the guest experience you deserve.
I have provided my honest opinion and have not been compensated for my review. In anyway should my opinion reflect on the Marriot Indianapolis East.
