My reflection:
Pete’s Dragon a very delightful family friendly film that will give moviegoers a reward for having an imagination! Watching this re-imagined four decade old film come to life made me smile from beginning to end.
Like most Disney movies there is always a message and Pete’s Dragon definitely left me with a clear understanding of what it takes to be brave and courageous. Without giving away the movie I will leave you with this Pete’s Dragon is a must see film for the entire family. Pete’s Dragon opens in theaters August 12th.
The Plot:For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), who works as a forest ranger, these stories are little more than tall tales…until she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley). Pete is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliot. And from Pete’s descriptions, Elliot seems remarkably similar to the dragon from Mr. Meacham’s stories. With the help of Natalie (Oona Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Wes Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.

I really want to see this movie, so it’s nice to hear it’s good! I didn’t know it was a reboot of sorts though! That’s pretty cool.

Hey I bought 16 tickets to take my students after reading your post we have been talking a lot about courage. I love the short reviews which are more thoughts than giving away the storyline
