3. Gordo’s Taco’s & Tequila

Gordo’s Taco’s & Tequila is passionate about and committed to your pleasurable dining experience. Our staff is trained to welcome each guest before they even open the door, if possible, and continue that elevated level of customer respect from that moment forward. If you have any concerns, please mention them to your server.

Located walking distance from the Boardwalk and just a half mile from Ripley’s Believe It or Not is a favorite of ours. Gordo’s is very affordable and a great place to take the entire family for good authentic Mexican food. The BBQ Chicken Wings was our choice as an appetizer they were a little spicy but cooked to perfection. As our main course, we both ordered the Combination Beef, Chicken, and Shrimp Fajita’s prepared with a side of rice, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, and Pico de gallo. Hands down I have never had Fajita’s as amazing as the platter that I enjoyed at Gordo’s.

Gordo’s offers an extensive selection of tequila to enjoy for those of you over the age of 21, and I can promise you the Margarita’s are so refreshing worth every penny. While at Gordo’s check-out the decor and the personalize tiles on the floor quite the conversation piece. The staff at is a lot of fun and very customer friendly if you’re looking for exceptional service, great food, and affordable prices check out Gordo’s Tequila & Taco’s.

2. Croissants Bistro & Bakery

Since 1995, Croissants Bistro and Bakery has been a local’s favorite serving quality comfort food at affordable prices. Offering everything from coffee and espresso drinks to homemade soups, sandwiches, and baked delicacies to fine dining and catering – Croissants is the one-stop shop for all of your dining needs. Honored as SC Restaurateur of the Year, owner Heidi Vukov strives to blend the freshest ingredients with exceptional customer service to create an unforgettable experience for each and every guest.

Croissants Bistro & Bakery is a cozy restaurant with something of most the delicious pastries, entrees, sandwiches, cappuccinos and many other menu options. Each table is provided with fresh blueberry mini muffins to indulge on while waiting on their food. We had the pleasure of enjoying Shrimp & Grits prepared with andouille sausage, fried green tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and pimento cheese grits. We also ordered to share the Turkey Pretzel Club made with warm turkey, bacon, melted swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato & honey mustard served on a pretzel bun, with house-made chips. For dessert, the staff prepared a little something special for us as a welcome gift to the city which was a three piece dessert platter plated with three different cake flavors and a fruit sauce to enjoy.

The price point at this locations was also family affordable. Call ahead reservations are encouraged because the restaurant was extremely busy during our visit. Despite the staff being busy service was excellent with minimum wait. If you’re in the area and hungry for some delicious desserts, sandwiches, or entrees I highly recommend stopping by Croissants Bistro & Bakery.

1. Thoroughbred’s Chophouse Seafood & Grill

Since opening in 1988, Thoroughbreds has become widely known as one of the locals’ favorite fine dining restaurants in Myrtle Beach after being recognized year-after-year in the categories of most romantic and best fine-dining by the locals. The restaurant is known for serving only the finest beef and Ultra-Fresh seafood. Thoroughbred’s Chophouse Seafood & Grill is a location for exceptional dining experience whether you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a nice steak well. During our visit, we jammed to some light tunes and laughed the evening away. The martinis were delicious perfect for our night of celebrating our love and recent accomplishments. We both order the 16 oz. the cut of Angus beef with excellent marbling for tenderness and flavor served with a garden salad, our house mashed potatoes, and vegetable du jour. For dessert, we enjoyed a mouth-watering slice of cheesecake it was scrumptious.

The staff was beyond expectations we felt like we had known everyone long before this visit because they were so friendly and accommodating. If you’re in the area and want a delicious steak and an evening adult martini without any hassles, I highly recommend Thoroughbred’s Chophouse Seafood & Grill.

  4. The first time I went to Myrtle Beach was a few years ago, and we only went out to eat one time. I had crab cakes for the first time, and spent the rest of the evening sick! Sounds like I need to make a return trip and have a better experience with one of these restaurants, sounds yummy!
