Girl vs Globe: My Bucket List

I use to think only retired folks created a bucket list until some years back when I was completing my MBA and my classmates were discussing their bucket list.  After pondering why I needed to draft my own bucket list I was certain if I did not write down my dreams they simply would never exist. I love to travel and there so many places I would love to see before I leave this great place we call earth.

The first item on my bucket list was to go to Las Vegas and we did for 1 week in 2014. The 2nd item was to take a cruise and we did in the summer of 2015. Since then I have been marking things off and truly enjoying life. After losing my Stepmom almost two years ago reality set in for me that no one is promised time and that we must all live life to the fullest.

This morning I have gathered my top 5 things I want to do by the end of 2018 so that I can officially cross them off my Bucket List.

5. Take a girl’s trip to New Orleans

4. Visit Nashville

3. Do something fun with my nieces and nephews

2. Add something unexpected to my list

1. Take a vacation with my Mentor

Each of these items mean a lot to me even though they may seem very small. I challenge each of you to create a bucket list and start planning something fun very soon.

~Enjoy Your Day~

  1. I love this post very inspirational. Lately I have been battling with my health and I have always wanted to do a bucket list. I am going to work on mine this evening thank you so much for your encouragement. I seen your blog post through the Twitter feed.

  2. I use to freak out thinking about writing my bucket list, but you made a good point in your post when you said ” if I did not write down my dreams they simply would never exist”. With that said reading your post has given me the courage to make a bucket list and to not look at it as something only people dying prepare. It is a time to live and live to the fullest. You rock girl!

  3. I am so glad I found your blog since you rebranded. I love it I am going through reading each post and so far I am still in love with your writing and creativity. This post right here hit home I really need to stop worrying and enjoy life. I am booking me a date weekend at the Marriot East Indianapolis your review was on point.

  4. I have bucket list that consists of 30 Things to do While in My 30’s!!!! I didn’t want to do one of those before I die bucket lists.

  5. I love all those things on your list. I now live in Florida smack in the middle between Disney World and Sea World and Bush Gardens, so I’m happy where I’m at, but moving to Columbus, Ohio sounds especially good since I grew up there.

  6. I am really inspired to start thinking about a bucket list. I love your ideas especially because they focus on meaningful things not just seeing exotic places – though nothing wrong with that! 🙂 Thanks!
