I love being a Marriot Rewards member and earning points while staying at each property. Last weekend I stayed at the Courtyard Cleveland Independence locations just off I-77 and I-480 in Independence just 15 minutes from downtown Cleveland. The night before check-in I realized Marriot International has a mobile application that will allow guest to check-in early, and once the room is available, an alert is sent to the guest. The Courtyard Cleveland Independence location has a 3 pm check-in time, and we were supposed to be traveling in from Indiana hoping to get dressed much earlier and attend a wedding at 3 pm. I downloaded the app and put in my reservation information requesting an earlier check in time. I waited an hour and called the hotel directly. The front desk clerk was wonderful with assisting me and making sure I would have a room available by 11:30 am. Around 8:30 am I received a message alerting me my keys were ready. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and the check-in was quick since I had already completed the process from the mobile application.
To my surprise, the lobby was very clean, and the restaurant area was well-maintained. The hotel appeared to have recent upgrades, but the staff plays a huge part and making sure things were in place. Our room was immaculate! I have no complaints just praise about our stay. I recommend at the Courtyard Independence location during your next visit to Cleveland this is a great property to lodge for your next family reunion or just an overnight getaway.
