Today I had the opportunity to check Universal Studios Hollywood off my bucket list. I had t-shirts made I was so excited. I love water rides so Jurassic World-The Ride was first on the list. I impatiently waited in line for a time to come up and I must say it was well worth the wait an experience like never before.

We boarded a nice size 25 passenger car boat upon take off it sailed us into a covered area which featured a large “When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth” display. I was super impressed with the virtual aquarium that had a high definition screen and visibility to see the Mosasaurus enjoying a shark for lunch. Than a huge splash sending water over the tank into the car boat. I was completely spooked when we drifted alone in the dark for a moment.

The ride had a high climb and drops 85 feet yes my stomach was in my shoes. I have a huge fear of heights, but the ride was well worth the risk. I don’t want to share too many details and spoil your visit, but I will add how much I enjoyed the lush vegetation of Herbivore Valley part of the ride that featured a water-spraying Parasaurolophus.

Fun Fact: Jurassic World: The Ride is an attraction that is themed to the Jurassic World series at Universal Studios Hollywood. The original Jurassic Park: The Ride, which operated from June 21, 1996, to September 3, 2018, underwent a major refurbishment and reopened as Jurassic World: The Ride. The new ride opened on July 12, 2019.
