Your Exclusive Guide To #Disneyland “Summer of Heroes”

During my most recent visit to Disneyland I had a fantastic time I am so excited to introduce you to the new attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT!, along with Summer of Heroes and the new “Disney Junior Dance Party!” The Super Hero-inspired food and beverages were OMG goodness.

Work off those calories with the opportunity to train and perfect your skills with Black Widow and Hawkeye at the Avengers Training Initiative. Then, celebrate your training at the “Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Dance Off” with Peter Quill and Gamora. Wait did I mention I saw Groot and got my free face painting superhero style. I have a lot to share check it out.

Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT!

The Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! The adventure begins as guests enter a grandiose, 183-foot tall fortress. From the anticipation guests will feel as they enter The Collector’s Fortress, then The Collector’s Office where guests are asked for a hand with his escape plan to the sense of discovery as they tour the Tivan Collection to the thrills and elation of participating in a successful breakout. It’s here that guests experience one of the attraction’s six different ride profiles, each synchronized to one of the songs on the “excellent mix tape”:

“Hit Me With Your Best Shot” by Pat Benatar
“Give Up The Funk” by Parliament
“Born To Be Wild” by Steppenwolf
“I Want You Back” by The Jackson 5
“Free Ride” by The Edgar Winter Group
“Burning Love” by Elvis Presley

The ride system has more fast ride time than ever before, and the thrill factor gets going as soon as the gantry lift doors close, and the music starts blaring. Each song is accompanied by a different up-and-down ride profile and story scenes, making every visit to the attraction unpredictable. Rocket makes multiple appearances in the attraction, including as a sophisticated Audio-Animatronics character who invades. Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is an unforgettable adventure into the Super Hero universe at Disney California Adventure.

Summer of Heroes Food & Beverage

As part of the Summer of Heroes celebration at Disney California Adventure Park, guests will find Super Hero-inspired food and beverages at six different locations in the Hollywood Land area of the park, including Schmoozies, Award Wieners and Market Place. New areas include the Cosmic Canteen and Knowhere Eats. Like all Super Heroes, I had to fuel to make it through the day, so I indulged on snacks and delicious food items like the Groot-shaped bread the jalapeno-cheddar flavor was my favorite and the Spider Bite filled with Cinnamon. Later on, I headed to The Most Dangerous Tacos in the Galaxy where I stuffed my face with the most delicious tacos on the planet. Other items you must-try, are inspired by the fiery personality of Gamora, featuring barbacoa, green onion slaw, and habanero salsa. Also, guests can try the Savory Strength Falafel Pita, Super Size Subs, Space Outpost Tacos, Gamma-Sized Donuts and Bifrosties (shave ice with fun themed flavors)

Before my departure, I had to swing by Cars Land and stroll down the iconic Route 66 make sure to stop by Radiator Springs and visit Lighting McQueen and Mater. Catch a glimpse of Cadillac Range Mountains the towering Cadillac Range Mountains serve as a majestic backdrop for Radiator Springs Racers at night it’s breathtaking. Put your racing skills to the test at Radiator Springs Racers, join the Famiglia at Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters or go for a swing at Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree.
