“The Light Between Oceans” was an amazing romantic movie that grabs your attention and takes you roller-coaster ride of emotions.
At times I laughed, cried, and smiled as I watched Tom stand to defeat challenges and opens his heart to love again. There are a few lessons and thought provoking moments throughout the film. I decided to do something a little different after viewing this film and providing my point of view.
Here are 5 things I learned from the movie The Light Between Oceans:
5.With love comes sacrifice “Love lives in those who are willing to make the greatest sacrifices without keeping account.” Hermann J Steinherr
4.Easier said than done “On matters of style, swim with the current, on matters of principle, stand like a rock.” Thomas Jefferson
3.Happiness is about enjoying what you have “Happiness isn’t wanting more and more but enjoying all you have.” Malika E Nura
2.When it comes to love it can impact your judgment “Love is a decision, it is a judgment, it is a promise. If love were only a feeling, there would be no basis for the promise to love each other forever. A feeling comes and it may go. How can I judge that it will stay forever, when my act does not involve judgment and decision.” Hemantsmarty
1. No matter what happens in life you can always find a way to overcome anything “You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, “I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.” . . . You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” Eleanor Roosevelt
The Light Between Oceans is a must see and is now in theaters starting today 9/2. Oh and make sure you bring your tissues and a smile!
