Cirque Du Soleil “OVO” 5/17-5/21 At The Schottenstein Center Columbus, Ohio

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.

Cirque Du Soleil “OVO” is a whimsical, interactive, jaw-dropping, and fantastic must-see live production. You can expect to see anything from a Dragonfly hand balancing to a Butterfly performing a solo contortion on aerial silk showcasing her theatrical metamorphosis, and my favorite act the Trampo Wall. This act features a colony of crickets running, jumping, and walking across – and straight up – an 8m vertical wall without artificial support. Air track and trampolines give them the speed, lift and momentum to take flight. Their athletic ability, physical strength and team coordination takes care of the rest. Sounds amazing, doesn’t it?

OVO is a two hour and a half performance, including a 30-minute intermission. OVO is great show to take the entire family too. Throughout the show there are moments of loud sounds and short periods darkness so please prepare in advance when bringing smaller children to the show.

My favorite character in the show was “The Ladybug” she was the woman of strength and confidence, but doesn’t even realize she’s truly full of life.  Unlike the other insects she’s all alone and lonely, and waiting for something wonderful to happen in her life hmm maybe love you would have to go see the show to know the rest of the story I won’t spill the beans and spoil it for you.

Fun Fact

OVO is a touring circus production by Cirque du Soleil that premiered in Montréal, Canada, in 2009. OVO’s creator and director, Deborah Colker, took inspiration from the world of insects. The idea for OVO was not to be about the acts, nor dancing, nor insects, but about movement.

I am super excited to be attending opening night of Cirque Du Soleil “Ovo” this evening. Special thanks to Cirque Du Soleil for the invite. To purchase a ticket or attend an upcoming show this weekend please visit https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/usa/columbus-ohio/ovo/buy-tickets
