“The Bachelor Winter Games may be some of my favorite television we have ever produced.”- Chris Harrison
The Bachelor has been on for 16 years in the US and Worldwide so it was time to take the show to another level. In a recent interview, Chris talked candidly about his vision of celebrating the love of the show globally and bringing singles from around the world together. “Let’s make this Global Celebration of Love. OK, let’s define that and figure out what that means and so what we figured out was, The Bachelor is a phenomenon here obviously in the United States and it’s one of the biggest franchises in the history of TV, and it has been for almost 2 decades. But it’s huge around the world and I’m not sure you guys know this, but a lot of people don’t know that from all corners of the world from Japan, China, Finland, Sweden, from Russia, the UK, and Australia and New Zealand and Canada.”
Chris also went on to say “When we started Bachelor Winter Games, we had no clue about what we were getting ourselves into and what we were going to do. We had this concept and it was very loose and it was fun for us because we’ve been doing the Bachelor and Bachelorette for 16 years, which I love and it’s my baby but if you’ve seen the show, we’ve been doing it for a while, we got it down, we know what we’re doing.”

Chris is very passionate about the contestants and he cherishes the friendships on and off the show. Despite the crazy outburst we’ve seen on some of the episodes, Chris will always treat the contestants with love, respect, dignity. I did have the chance to see a sneak peek of episode one and man goodness it’s all out fun and filled with humor. The Bachelor Winter Games will have a 2-week run and be up against the Olympics, but it should be a fun break. I’m excited the competition takes place in Vermont. The Bachelor Winter Games premieres on Tuesday, February 13th at 8pm on ABC. Always expected the unexpected check out a preview of the first rose ceremony.
