Part of planning a memorable vacation is finding exciting attractions and exploring new adventures. During our recent trip to Long Beach took the opportunity to explore and enjoy the ocean and sea life with Harbor Cruises, enjoy time at Long Beach Aquarium, and celebrate in style at the Pirates Adventure Dinner. Any opportunity to live and have fun count us then point us in the right direction. Here is short guide to a quick weekend in Long Beach and some of the attraction we enjoyed while spending a long much awaited trip.
Harbor Cruises
The Harbor Whale and Dolphin Tour was fun and s relaxing experience. The cruise is rough about 2.5 hours and leaves daily at 11am and 3pm guest can sit where ever they prefer to catch the perfect view of a dolphin or whale in the distance seats are first come, first serve. Refreshments are available cold beverages, alcohol, hotdogs, and snacks. I recommend grabbing something after you’ve chosen your seat. Bring a jacket the 3pm cruise we went on got a little breeze as the boat turned away from the sun. At all times have your camera ready!

All smiles after the cruise as we arrive back at our hotel.
On our whale watching adventure we had got the opportunity to see some dolphins that usually are in the Long Beach area year round. Not sure if I mentioned I LOVE Dolphins. This was the only highlight besides spending time with my husband. During the Harbor Cruise you never know what to expect, but it’s worth the experience.
Aquarium

The Aquarium of the Pacific located by the Pike Shopping Outlets on 5 acres connected to the beautiful Rainbow Harbor in Long Beach. We explored over 100 exhibits, including 19 major habitats. My favorite more 12,000 ocean animals, representing nearly 500 species, the Aquarium celebrates the planet’s largest and most diverse body of water: the Pacific Ocean. The Sea Lion were my highlight and all of the sealife animals. The Aquarium of the Pacific is classified as a world-class aquarium ring the waters of Southern California and Baja, the Northern Pacific, and the Tropical Pacific. The outdoor exhibits include an outdoor Shark Lagoon, the Lorikeet Forest aviary, and Our Water Future. Our last stop was the Magellanic penguins in the June Keyes Penguin Habitat, and the new Pacific Visions wing.
We enjoy a quick lunch in the atrium and picked a couple items from the gift shop. Spending time at the Aquarium of the Pacific was exciting and memorable. I recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. For a limited time, purchase tickets online and receive $5 off. Price listed below includes discount.

Our Experience
Since we were celebrating our anniversary we loved sitting in the first row during the main show. We both received a souvenir pirate bandanna and a beaded necklace. It was cool when the Captain gave us a congratulatory announcement during the pre-show. Everyone seems to be having a blast laughing with the cast as they made there way around the ship interacting with guest. Dinner orders were taken and the food started to come out just as the show began. We chose to add a lobster tail it come with a glass of champagne. All guest were served roasted quarter chicken leg/thigh, shrimp, mashed potatoes. and veggies.

To top of the evening my husband had a small roll in the show of making sure our teams anchor was draw! We yield and cheered him on as he used every muscle to beat the other teams out. As I expected the evening would be loads of fun it was from beginning to end. The Pirates Dinner Experience is perfect for all ages and very popular so make sure you make a reservation by visiting https://piratesca.com/admin/reservation/add.php
