Minnie Mouse Inspired Rice Krispy Treats

My niece is a huge fan of Minnie Mouse so this year we decided to bake Minnie Mouse Inspired Rice Krispy Treats. This was an awesome baking experience to do as a family. Enjoy the magic we did.

Ingredients

Puffed Rice Cereal

Butter

Marshmallows

Red Melting Chocolate

White Pearl Sprinkles

Pastry Bag

Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter

Directions

  1. Prepare baking dish: Spray a 9 by 9-inch or 13 by 9-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

  2. Have proper amount of cereal ready: Measure out Rice Krispie cereal into a bowl and set aside.

  3. Melt butter in pan, then melt marshmallows: Melt butter in a pot over medium-low heat. Add marshmallows and cook, stirring constantly, just until marshmallows have melted.

  4. Toss in Rice Krispies cereal: Remove from heat, pour in Rice Krispies cereal. Gently fold mixture to evenly coat.

  5. Spread into baking dish: Pour mixture into prepared baking dish. Using a spatula that has been coated with non-stick cooking spray, gently press and spread mixture evenly into baking dish.

  6. Let set: Let rest at least 30 minutes before slicing (for sturdier bars wait about 2 hours).

  7. Let cool slightly then turn out onto parchment lined cookie sheet. Cut out Mickey shapes and set aside to firm and cool.

8. Once cooled, melt red chocolate in microwave safe bowl, in 30 second increments, stirring after each. Spoon into prepared pastry bag and cut off small tip. On parchment lined baking sheet, pipe out bow shapes and let dry.

9. Drizzle krispy treat with red chocolate and place a dried bow between ears. Then decorate with white pearls as polka dots.

10. Let dry, serve and enjoy!
