My Visit To Orchard House Bed Breakfast

We checked in around 4:00pm and was greeted by Dean the Inn’s Keeper and Owner. As we entered the manner I noticed area the main living room area was warm and welcoming well lit with a comfortable sofa positioned in front of the fireplace. Dean gave us a quick tour of the property on the main floor which has two separate TV rooms complete with Wii, DirecTV, Netflix, much more on demand, a sun-room for dining, and the dining room area where the wine and cheese happy hour occurs daily. The dining room area is also where breakfast is served in the morning from 6am-930am.

The courtyard area has a small frog pond and a seating area for four people. On the porch is a small selection of outdoor games to enjoy at your leisure. There are several other areas to sit and relax while enjoying the sunset or an evening under the stars. Prefer to sit by the fire and sip a little wine no problem just let Dean know.

Behind the manor, about 300 feet is a nice area beyond the trees where weddings are held in the pine forest. The backdrop serves perfectly for amazing wedding photos. Event packages are offered by local businesses for all events. Family and friends can stay overnight in the B & B and while you enjoy a romantic wedding night in one of the private larger suites.

At the end of the tour, we had to the chance to check out the glamping experience. Inside the closed in tint is a queen-size with a down comforter. Guest can enjoy a private half-bath in the main manor or take in nature and shower in a secluded outdoor passive solar shower. You can still take advantage of all the amenities offered to guest staying at the manor. Spruce up your package by adding a massage, tent-side refreshments, a bonfire, and a full breakfast is included. The glamping experience is available mid-April to November 2018.

Around 5:15 pm went sat down and enjoyed a little wine, cheese, spreads, and crackers while laughing and spending a little time with other guest staying at the manor. The wine and cheese were included with our stay. It felt good to kick back and relax before heading to dinner in downtown Granville.

After dinner, we headed up to the Job Paige Suite to relax on the private patio overlooking the courtyard. The private patio was connected to our suite which had a comfortable king size bed, fireplace, reading and writing nook and an ensuite bathroom.
