Caramel Apple Mimosa

Take the evening off once the kids gave had their funny and enjoy this delicious  Caramel Apple Mimosa. It’s easy to make and refreshing. Happy Halloween!

Caramel Apple Mimosa

Servings: 6-8 glasses (per bottle of Prosecco)

Ingredients Needed:

● Bottle of Prosecco (I used Beletti Extra Dry Prosecco, but you could also use Champagne)

● ½ gallon of Caramel Apple Cider (available at Kroger, Giant Eagle, Meijer, Dave’s, Target, and Walmart in the produce section with chilled juices. If the Caramel flavor is not available, regular spiced Apple Cider can be substituted)

● Jar of Caramel Spoonable Topping (I used Trader Joe’s Fleur De Sel Caramel Sauce, but Smuckers also makes a spoonable caramel ice cream topping available at most grocery stores)

● Red sanding sugar

● Optional: variety of apples for garnish

Directions:

  1. Spoon or pour approximately ¼ cup of the caramel topping/sauce onto a small plate, and pour approximately 3 tbsp of red sanding sugar onto a second small plate. First dip your serving glass rim in the caramel topping, and then immediately dip the rim into the red sanding sugar.

  2. Next, fill your glass about ⅓ full with the caramel apple cider, being careful not to touch the sugared rim. Finish filling the glass with prosecco until full, and serve immediately.

Notes: Have some fun garnishing the glasses by adding some apple slices to a cocktail toothpick, decorative paper straw, or just the side of the glass as garnish. Or if you’re feeling fancy, make an apple twist from the apple peel.
