Check Out Our Visit To The Pro Football Hall of Fame In Canton, Ohio+ Save $5 On Your Visit

Most recently my family took a road trip to Canton, Ohio to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame. As huge fans of the game, this was an item at the top of our bucket list. I’m so excited we were able to create long-lasting memories while exploring history. The Hall of Fame has fun activities for all ages. Upon arrival, once we got past the green screen photo opp was the Hunt/Casterline Pro Football Hall of Fame Card Collection – the largest and most valuable football card collection in the world! The Hall represents its sport in a great many colorful and entertaining ways with a multitude of interactive experiences.

A Great Day With Family

We also fell in love with the following exhibits highlighted at the Pro Football Hall of Fame:

A Game for Life,” a multi-sensory immersive theater featuring holographic representations of Hall of Fame legends. A Game for Life exhibit displayed holographic versions of famous figures like Vince Lombardi will The exhibition theater uses 15 projectors and 360-degree audio. The script was partially created by the Rudy screenwriter Angelo Pizzo.

The “Pro Football Today Gallery,” which is filled with mementos from recent history-making performances and milestone moments from the current NFL season. Take moment to enjoy the smack taking inside the huddles and on the field when you grab a seat in from the big screen sharing all the inside scoop. Then explore highlights from your favorite team or teams.

The Super Bowl Theater, a turntable experience presents the most recent NFL season and Super Bowl using cutting-edge technology. Walk through the game day highlights from kick-off to the winning gameplay. This exhibit will be updated after April 15th replaying the big game plays from the 2018 Super Bowl game.  Come and witness the Superbowl like never before then head on over and grab a photo with the Vince Lomabardi trophy.

Interactive, hands-on experiences including a Madden EA Sports video game suite. This suite has all the amenities a gamer could ask for all in one location. On display are all the Madden games dating back to the Sega Genesis to present. Kick back and enjoy a quick game at one the multiple XBox 360 stations.

We had a wonderful time learning the history of the football helmet, exploring the hall of fame gallery, strolling through the legends of the game bronzed bust gallery, creating our own world championship rings, and taking most of day to enjoy the Pro Football Hall of Fame. As you can see from the youngest to the oldest we all found something that made the day extra special.  We even stopped by the team shop and purchase souvenirs and grabbed our photos on the way out.

About The Pro Football Hall of Fame

Since opening in 1963, the Pro Football Hall of Fame has grown in both size and stature.  The building was expanded in 1971, 1978 and 1995, and completed major exhibit gallery renovations in 2003, 2008, and 2009.  Together, these improvements have transformed the original 19,000 square-foot Hall of Fame museum into an exciting internationally recognized institution and travel destination.  Currently, the Hall of Fame is undergoing the largest expansion and renovation in its history. The “Future 50” Expansion & Renovation Project has expanded the museum to 118,000 square feet. The two-year, $27 million project was completed in the summer of 2013 after a major renovation to 38,000 square feet of museum space was finished. Today, the Hall of Fame stands as a shining tribute to the men who have made professional football America’s most popular sport.

The Hall of Fame is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational institution that focuses on education, promoting, preserving, and honoring the great individuals and moments that have shaped the sport’s history.

  1. Lived in Akron for the past 15 years and never once considered even going to Pro Football Football Hall of Fame. It looks like it can be fun even for someone who’s not even into sports all like that.
