There are so many reasons to visit Louisville in the summer. From live music to street festivals and bourbon tours, here’s our guide to things to do on a summer vacation in Kentucky. During my Louisville we embarked on some memorable summer fun. Transportation with a brew guru was included each stop offered flights three stops were included our tour Against the Grain, Great Flood, Monnik. This tour departed from the Mint Julep Experiences Hub at Falls City Market in the Omni Louisville Hotel at 2 p.m. and returned at 6 p.m.

Against the Grain can be found in up to 43 states in the U.S., upwards of 25 countries around the world, and, of course, right here at home in Louisville, KY. The partners opened a three-vessel, 30-barrel brew house 20 blocks away from the pub in downtown Louisville. Against the Grain brews an array of diverse beers categorized by six main styles: Session, Hop, Whim, Malt, Dark, and Smoke.

Great Flood production Brewery is located in the Shelby Park neighborhood of Louisville, KY.  The Great Flood runs a five-gallon home-brew system  which allowed them to hone in on their craft and develop skills to produce beer they’re proud of serving to customers. Twenty taps most of them house brews to bring you as many options as possible without sacrificing freshness. Expect well-known favorites and new rotational selections in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

Monnik is a brewery and restaurant located in the heart of the Schnitzelburg neighborhood of Louisville, Ky. Monnik, the dutch word for monk, embodies the intense focus and diligence we bring to our craft. They have 20 beers on tap featuring a mix of flagships, rotating seasonal’s and one-off brews. Stop in for lunch and dinner with frequently changing specials, according to what’s available locally and seasonally.
