During our recent weekend getaway to Dublin, Ohio I surprised my husband with dinner at LaScala. He’s a huge fan of authentic Italian food and fine dining especially after a long week. I love the ambiance of LaScala there’s a piano player to serenade the mood. The evening lights are on and the seating is very intimate. The service was world class and the food was very satisfying. We kicked off the evening with a glass of Merlot and calamari which was lightly breaded and fried then tossed with fresh tomatoes, basil, and banana peppers. I love the roasted garlic aioli & marinara as dipping sauces. After chatting for about a half hour we decided to order dinner.
My husband ordered the Tuscan Salmon grilled with white wine and a touch of lemon, topped with sautéed spinach & olive oil served on a bed of wild mushroom risotto. It was delicious yes I had to sample it.
I ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and a side Caesar salad. I was in a food coma every bite was delicious. The Alfredo sauce was perfect and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The chicken was grilled with a little extra crisp just the way I requested.
I recommend LaScala if your visiting the Dublin area I can promise you’ll have a remarkable time.
