Calling all Muggles there is five reason to head to NYC (New York City)! Potter fans grab you wand, broom, and work cloak it’s time to head to New York City! There is so many exciting things to get into you won’t be disappointed. 

First stop the Harry Potter New York Store an first official Harry Potter flagship store located near the iconic Flatiron 935 Broadway. You must reserve your spot in the virtual queue due to high demand wait times are 1-2 hours. 

What To Expect:

  • 15 different themed areas

  • Exclusive products

  • Photo opportunities

  • VR Experience- Two virtual reality experiences — “Chaos at Hogwarts” and “Wizards Take Flight” (Guests must be 10+ years, 54 inches for Wizards Take Flight, and 48 inches tall for Chaos at Hogwarts. Guests between 10 and 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) with a paid ticket. Only guests who are 13+ are able to ride without an accompanied adult).

  • Tons of merchandise “Magical Shopping”

  • Butterbeer

  • Wand selection Ollivander’s style

Next stop The Cauldron “An immersive (social distance-friendly) cocktail class in NYC where you don a cloak, wield a working magic wand & use molecular mixology to brew drinkable elixirs.” Reservations can be made online. Guest can choose from Potion Making, Wizards Afternoon Tea, Drinks and Food at the Pub or Terrace.

What To Expect:

Potion Making includes:

  • Magic wand and equipment rental

  • 1 welcome drink poured by magic wand

  • 2 molecular cocktails (or non-alcoholic drinks) that you brew by magic wand

  • The 1hr 45min immersive experience

Wizard Afternoon Tea includes:

  • Magic wand and equipment rental

  • 2 interactive teas brewed by magic wand

  • Curated selection of “sand-witches”, scones and desserts

  • The 1hr 45min interactive experience

 Inside The Pub:

  • Table reservation in our main area for 1.5 hours

  • Reservation for full-service restaurant or bar menu (not an immersive experience)

  • Deposit per person at time of booking which is deducted from bill in the venue

  • Menu changes seasonally

On The Terrace:

  • Table reservation on our terrace area for 1.5 hours

  • Our outdoor Terrace seating is on long, german beer hall-style tables. This means there may be another party sat at your long table.

  • Reservation for full-service restaurant or bar menu (not an immersive experience)

  • Deposit per person at time of booking which is deducted from bill in the venue

  • Menu changes seasonally

I love live productions so we have to head to Lyric Theater to see “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child“.  Tickets star at $59 you can go any night of the week, but Monday so plan ahead.  If you arrive late you may not get your original seats. The play runs over just 3 hours and may not be best suited for kids under 8 years old.
