Khan Academy’s Pixar in a Box offers a behind-the-scenes look at Pixar Animation Studios’ creative process. It’s a Free online curriculum that shows how Pixar filmmakers use science, technology, engineering, art and math to create movie magic. I wanted to checkout it out before sharing it with my readers. Zevia Soda Review

Enjoy soda without worrying about counting calories or the amount of caffeine unless you prefer caffeine with a natural sweetener. Zevia is available in 12 flavors packaged in 12 oz. aluminum cans. 9 of the flavors are caffeine free, but for those of you like that like your caffeine, three of the flavors (Zevia Cola, Dr. Zevia and Mountain Zevia) contain caffeine naturally derived from coffee.

Jeff and I had a six pack of different flavors to sample. One each day over a 3 day period. Here are the results for each flavor:

Gingerale-Gingerale which is my favorite soda of choice. In comparison to other kinds of soda I must say I was surprised with Zevia. The taste was crisp and not too over powering like most Gingerale. Better served over ice or after refrigeration. I did miss the natural sweetness. Jeff was not a fan at all, but we did agree this would be one of the flavors we would purchase for our home again in the near future.

Ingredients: Carbonated water, Erythritol, Citric Acid, Reb A-Stevaia Extract, Carmel Color, Lemon and Lime Oil,Ginger Extract, Natural flavors

Lemon Lime Mist-We both enjoyed this flavor and will also add it this to our shopping list. Very tasty not too over-powering. Better served cold. Great choice for those who love soda, but prefer no caffeine.

Ingredients: Carbonated water, Erythritol, Citric Acid, Reb A-Stevaia Extract, Natural flavors

Black Cherry- Comparable to Cherry 7UP minus the strong sweetness. This a flavor you would have to try more than once. I am not a fan of dark soda, but this I would buy again for a second chance. Jeff decided he would pass on the chance to try because he doesn’t drink dark soda at all.

Ingredients:Carbonated water, Erythritol, Citric Acid, Reb A-Stevaia Extract, Natural flavors,

Cherry Essence, Cassia Oil, Clove Leaf Oil

Dr. Zevia- Just did not hit the spot for either if us. Not strong enough. Lacked taste and sweetness.

Ingedients: Caramel color, Tartaric acid, Fumaric Acid, Caffeine, Nutmeg Oil, Carbonated water, Erythritol, Citric Acid, Reb A-Stevaia Extract, Natural flavors

Rootbeer – A good alternative to A&W since it does not contain Aspartame. We both give it thumbs up. We do love our floats.

Ingredients: Caramel color, Wintergreen Oil, Anise Oil, Lemon Oil, Orange Oil, Ginger Extract, Carbonated water, Erythritol, Citric Acid, Reb A-Stevaia Extract, Natural flavors

Grape- We enjoyed the Grape! Thumbs up.

What is Erythritol?

Star Wars Fans Invited to Join Epic Global Event on YouTube

Toy unboxing phenomenon goes live globally for the first time ahead of ‘Force Friday’

Online event featuring talent from the Maker Studios network gives fans first look at film-inspired toys ahead of midnight madness at retail. I am stoked in excitement. Just 7 days alway!

Fans are encouraged to document their experiences around the event on social media using the hashtag #ForceFriday

Star Wars: The Force Awakens products are set to be unveiled in the world’s first-ever global live toy unboxing event. Unfolding over 18 hours in 15 cities and 12 countries, the event will see highlights from the range of epic merchandise revealed in a rolling New Year’s Eve style celebration featuring top digital stars from the Maker Studios network. Hold up FANS that’s not all.

Kicking off in Sydney, Australia on the morning of September 3, and continuing through Asia,  Europe, Canada, and North & South America, selections from the new toy line will debut to global fanfare leading up to retailers around the globe opening their doors at midnight.

“Over the course of 18 hours, some of Maker Studios’ biggest stars will each be unboxing a new toy from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens product line in a different city around the world and sharing the experience live on YouTube.” said Leslie Ferraro, President, Disney Consumer Products. “We’ve seen tremendous excitement for these new products and can’t wait to see the global reaction from the Star Wars fan community.”

The Star Wars YouTube channel will host the live stream, which kicks off with the first unboxing in Sydney, Australia at 7:45 a.m. local time on Thursday, Sept. 3 (5:45 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, Sept. 2), with the grand finale at Lucasfilm in San Francisco at 8 a.m. PDT  (11 a.m. EDT) on Thursday, Sept. 3. Each of the 15 locations will reveal a new product inspired by Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The global unboxing event will incorporate traditional toy unboxers such as the popular EvanTubeHD, channels featuring families such as Bratayley, lifehack specialists such as ExpCaseros, gamers such as AlexBy11 and Star Wars fans from around the world, including Chris Pirillo, bringing with them a broad audience and appeal.

Several countries will join the live stream from YouTube Spaces (Berlin, Tokyo, London), with Star Wars commentators Anthony Carboni and Andi Gutierrez hosting the event from the YouTube Space, Los Angeles.

Fans can tune in to watch live unboxings at home or on mobile devices, and also enjoy the latest trailers on the upcoming movie, commentary from special guests, fun product videos and demos, and footage from recent Star Wars events.

The global celebration culminates at midnight local time, when many retailers around the world will open their doors to fans to purchase Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys, collectibles, books, apparel and more. Lane Bryant has an awesome end of the season shoe and jewelry sale. The photo above is this beautiful earring and bracelet set I scored this weekend these items are priced between $5.00-$6.98 each. I have also seen the Buy One Get One jewelry sale at some stores.

Disney’s “The Jungle Book” Official Trailer Release

“The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub raised in the jungle by a family of wolves, who embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery when he’s forced to abandon the only home he’s ever known.

Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, “The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray).Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire.

The all-star cast also includes Lupita Nyong’o as the voice of the fiercely protective mother wolf Raksha, and Giancarlo Esposito as the voice of wolf pack’s alpha male Akela. “The Jungle Book” seamlessly blends live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using up-to-the-minute technology and storytelling techniques to immerse audiences in an enchanting and lush world.
