Hello, in partnership with Northwest Pharmacy I would love to share with you recommended “Easy, Healthy Meals for Busy Weeknights” You already know that planning ahead is the way to save, and that’s certainly true when it comes to meal prep. Fortunately, there are lots of healthy dinners you can make ahead for your family, then freeze until you’re ready to enjoy them — but there are a few keys to success you’ll want to keep in mind.For starters, don’t put hot food in your freezer. If you’re putting the meals in zippered bags, take care to remove the air, and if you don’t have a second set of hands at the ready, a bag holder makes filling plastic bags a breeze. When filling a jar or container, leave an inch or two at the top to allow for your food to expand while it freezes, and always label your dishes with the meal name and prep date so you don’t forget what you’ve got ready to eat. But that’s not all — there are plenty of other helpful tips in this infographic! 

If you’re trying to cut back on convenience foods or takeout, these healthy, homemade meals can come to the rescue. Prep them on a weekend, stick them in the freezer, and you’ll have from-scratch meals ready even on the busiest nights. We worked with Health Perch to create an article and graphic featuring five freezer-friendly meals. We also share eight tips for freezing dinners. 

For instance, to prevent freezer burn, it’s a good idea to remove air bubbles from food by stirring or pressing it then wrapping it tightly. If you use a zippered bag, use a coffee stir straw to suck the air out before you seal it.
