Chipotle BBQ Wings Recipe

I love using my Hamilton and Beach Crockpot. Last night I made some delicious Chipotle BBQ Wings. Using Crockpot is a great alternative for baking wings to avoid using the oven.

For the Chipotle BBQ Wings prep time is about 30 minutes. They take about 4-4.5 hours cook. Normally I prepare them the night before and place them in the frig then cook them the following day.

2 pounds of chicken wings (thawed)

2 jars of your favorite Chipotle BBQ Sauce (my preference is Stubbs or Open Pit BBQ Sauce).

Pre-heat the Crockpot at 375 and place your wings inside then close the lid

Cook on low heat setting for 4-5 hours, or high heat setting for 2-2 1/2 hours.

After the wings have cooked then combine the wings and the sauce and stir with a large spoon to coat each wing.

Serve immediately or keep warm on low heat setting for up to 2 hours.

Spicy Garlic Hot Wings (Copycat)

Amazing and Delicious! The “Spicy Garlic Hot Wings” is a perfect appetizer for wing lovers. This evening I made a dozen to enjoy during the Cavs game and they were mouth watering good. The scrumptous finger licking sauce makes the wings tasty from bite to bite. Make sure you try the recipe I promise you will not be dissatisfied. I borrowed this recipe from “Around My Family Table” another one of my favorite blogs. I did tweek a few of the ingredients.

  • 1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 ts Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsps water
  • 1 dozen wing pieces
  1. Combine first  ingredients in a small sauce pan. Heat over medium heat until boiling, stirring often. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
To Cook Wings:
  1. Heat the oven to 350F. Add the wing pieces onto a cooking tray and cook for 1 hour 15 minutes or until light brown. Turn the wings at least 4 times to cook thoroughly through. Carefully remove the wings from the cooking tray and place them on a plate covered in brown paper sacks to absorb extra run off.
  2. Toss the wings into the sauce. Enjoy!
